Venus

Venus is a mixed-media artwork exploring the chaos, transformation, and emotional complexity within a woman’s mind. The Venus flytraps emerging from the figure become symbols of thoughts, instincts, fears, and desires—each growing in a different direction, constantly shifting between vulnerability and strength.

The absence of a traditional head suggests a mind that cannot be contained within a single form. Instead, inner change becomes something organic: it grows, reacts, protects itself, and transforms. Through its vivid colors, raw lines, and layered textures, Venus portrays femininity not as something fixed, but as a continuous state of becoming.

I used pastel oil paint and marker on canvas in my artwork.
