The Weight of Eyes

This artwork explores the psychological tension of being constantly observed — by others, and by oneself. The repetition of eyes creates a suffocating atmosphere where vision turns into pressure and awareness becomes a burden.

Each eye seems alive, watching from a different emotional angle: judgment, curiosity, fear, doubt. The dark tones and soft blurs suggest an internal landscape rather than an external reality — a mind overwhelmed by perception.

“The Weight of Eyes” reflects the invisible anxiety of modern existence: the feeling of exposure, the fear of scrutiny, and the exhausting awareness of being seen. It questions whether the real gaze comes from society — or from the inner critic we carry within.

This piece stands at the intersection of vulnerability and confrontation, inviting the viewer to ask:
Who is watching whom?

I used acrylic paint on canvas in my artwork.
