50 colleagues, 1000 boxes
With our own packing line and 50 colleagues, we were ready to go. Within a few hours, we filled 1,000 boxes. Full of streamers, treats, and gifts. For children who wouldn't otherwise be able to celebrate a birthday. And we did it with pride and dedication. We were even the first to fill all 1,000 boxes.
Why we do this
In the Netherlands, thousands of children can't celebrate their birthdays because they can't afford them at home. The Jarige Job Foundation helps these children by providing a special birthday box. It contains everything they need for a wonderful birthday, such as streamers, treats for school, and gifts. PostNL has been working with the Jarige Job Foundation for eight years. Every year, we collect gifts for the birthday boxes. And we deliver a large portion of them free of charge to families in need throughout the year.
